Did you know Footscray High is one of only a handful of government schools with a rowing program? It makes sense – with the Kinnear Campus located right near the Footscray Rowing Club. 🚣 The program is incredible – and has given local students the opportunity to build confidence, leadership and teamwork out on the mighty Maribyrnong River. I secured $140,000 in the budget to ensure the program can continue and to remove financial barriers for participation. More than 50 students attended on their day off to give it a try – and I loved seeing the difference it was making to students. ❤️
Maribyrnong! We loved speaking with you today about my announcement this week of a $14.3 million upgrade for @maribyrnongcollege.

Thanks for the chats!

When I want to laugh (or a restorative cry), nothing compares to Bluey. Dance Mode, Takeaway… SLEEPY TIME! My kids have even started listening to Custard, IYKNYK. So it is with duck-cake level excitement that a Bluey exhibition will open at ACMI in mid-2027. The exhibition will take visitors behind-the-scenes of the Australian-made multi-Emmy and BAFTA Award-winning series. Exhibition dates and details for Bluey will be announced later this year. To learn more, visit the ACMI website!
I've secured $500,000 in this year's budget to upgrade these ye-olde basketball/netty courts on Kinnear Street! The courts are owned by Council a and I look forward to them being transformed into a great space for practice and play alongside Footscray High.
The reason Labor had to reopen Footscray High is because the Liberal Party closed it. They never change - when they tell you they want to cut jobs and the services you rely on, it’s best to believe them.
Throwback to last years budget!

I secured funding to deliver a new purpose built SES Unit for Footscray volunteers.

Construction will begin in November – but here’s a first look at what’s to come!

We’re delivering five new level-access tram stops along Droop and Gordon Street - creating better connections to the new hospital, Highpoint and everything in between. We’re also upgrading tram tracks to support our new G Class trams – making public transport more accessible to carry more passengers on Route 82. Work on the new stops is starting soon. For more information and project updates, visit the Transport Victoria website here - https://transport.vic.gov.au/news-and-resources/projects/next-generation-trams-enabling-infrastructure-works/route-82
High quality public education is my priority for our community - and I’m proud to have secured $14.3 million in this year’s State Budget to upgrade Maribyrnong College. ❤️ This investment will deliver important improvements to learning facilities and school spaces, helping ensure local students have the best possible environment to learn and thrive. #MakingItHappen
Labor is making it cheaper and easier for more Victorians to buy a home – by extending the off-the-plan stamp duty concession. The concession has saved buyers an average of $30,000.
