Did you know about the Good Find? It’s a fantastic opp shop located at our brand new Footscray Hospital!
The Good Find is giving quality fashion a second life, while raising funds to support Western Health.
I found so many high quality knitted gifts, cards and even stunning Alexander McQueen shoes!
A big thank you to our incredible volunteers who make it all possible – and if you’re visiting the hospital, make sure you pop in and say hello!

Hi I’m Katie Hall — State Labor Member for Footscray.
Follow my page on Instagram and Facebook for community information and updates.

In last year’s budget, I secured funding for vital Roadside Enforcement Cameras as part of our No Truck Zones and West Gate Tunnel projects.
Heavy vehicles entering No-Truck Zones have been monitored by smart roadside cameras that detect and categorise a vehicle’s exemption status, with fines automatically issued to vehicles not permitted in the zones.
The transformation on our streets has been incredible and met with positive feedback – and we will continue to keep heavy vehicles off busy streets in the inner west.

Huge thank you to the school captains at @kingsvilleps school for showing @jacintaallanmp and I around your terrific school. ❤️
Need help registering for the 20% discount on your vehicle rego? Have any questions or concerns?

Footscray’s Community Connectors program has launched and is making a real difference for our community.
Experienced outreach workers are now available at and around Footscray station, providing immediate and ongoing support for people facing challenges.
The program is a great step forward in supporting vulnerable people in crisis before situations escalate further.

Footscray High School hosted a fantastic Chef’s Dinner last week — prepared by VET Cookery students and local legend Josh Murphy who owns Harley and Rose.
It was a wonderful celebration of the passion and skill of the next generation of hospitality talent here in Melbourne’s inner west.

Having a totally normal one here at Parliament. That’s… 4am.
The Liberals are trying to delay a vote on legislation that will restore electoral integrity and cap political donations here in Victoria.
The fillibuster? ChatGPT.
Rather than generating their own questions, the Liberals are using AI to generate hundreds and hundreds of questions to stall the debate in the upper house.
Victoria’s elections should be decided by Victorians, not by big business and those with the deepest pockets.
Why are they fighting so hard to stop a cap on donations?
IMPORTANT NEWS FOR APARTMENT RESIDENTS!
We’re mandating lower energy prices in embedded networks – for electricity, gas, and bundled energy services like hot water and air conditioning.
This could save households in Footscray up to $250 per year for electricity alone, and small businesses up to $600 per year.
Want to have your say on the options to reform electricity and gas prices? Visit the Engage Victoria website before 2nd of July to do so!
Neale Daniher, Australian of the Year and founder of @fightmnd bought people together.
Faced with a terminal diagnosis he educated us and dedicated the rest of his life to raising funds for research so others in the future would have hope.
What a gift of a human.
I was really moved listening to tributes to his life and work from across the Parliament today. None more than the contribution of our beloved @emmavulinmp who is fighting the beast, too.
Buy a beanie this week if you can.
We will be doing a Big Freeze event next sitting week. 🧊
Thank you to Neale’s family for sharing him with all of us. ❤️
