Footscray

The State Electoral District of Footscray is a diverse and multicultural community bordered by the beautiful banks of the Maribyrnong River and takes in the suburbs of Braybrook, Footscray, Footscray West, Maidstone, Maribyrnong, Sunshine West, Tottenham and parts of Brooklyn and Sunshine

Features include the Quang Minh and Heavenly Queen Temples, Whitten Oval (home of the Bulldogs) and Victoria University.

Footscray has a strong and eclectic arts community, thanks in large part to the Footscray Community Arts Centre.

The district is a wonderful place for families with plenty of parks to enjoy such as the much loved Aeroplane Park in Braybrook and the Sky Rocket Park in Sunshine West.

We also boasts some of the freshest local produce in Melbourne, with Footscray Market, Conways and a plethora of top quality cafes and restaurants attracting foodies to the district from far and wide.

Key initiatives for the Andrews Labor Government for Footscray include:

  • upgrades to Sunshine College, Dinjerra Primary School, Glengala Primary School, the transformative Footscray Learning Precinct, and
