For more than a century, members of my family – the Halls, the Hoods and the Viponts – have contributed to the community. They worked in Footscray’s factories, played for the Doggies and taught in local schools. It’s from my family that I’ve inherited a commitment to Labor values and to the West. We are Footscray through and through.
The Footscray electorate extends from Sunshine West to the Maribyrnong River, and I will be a strong advocate for all of the communities in the electorate. I will fight for investment in health, schools and job-creating infrastructure. I am particularly interested in ensuring we have the best education facilities for our kids and that there are improvements to the local environment as well as community and open spaces.
My commitment to our community is that I will be an activist. I’ll fight for the very best outcomes – for liveability, infrastructure and equality of opportunity – so that the Footscray electorate attracts the interest and investment that it needs and deserves.
